Yay!  New toy!

Interesting article for debate here.  Only if you wanna, mind.  I've just been reminded of the shittiness of Christmas.  Been traipsing around Sheffield looking for people's presents.  If I'm honest, it was remarkably easy.  Managed to get 4 people sorted just in Waterstones.  I love my intelligent friends. :-)

Waiting for Val to arrive for a girls night, though might drag her to the party of an old church friend instead.  She was supposed to be arriving this afternoon but she stayed in Leicester to help "a friend in need".  I've started a mental list of all the people I know who it could be.  Hmmm... she set off an hour and a half ago -- could she possibly be lost?

Lots of shiny things this week!

I collected my bargain e-Bay Ringmaster unicycle from the Post Office depot earlier. Shiny!

I've been trying out my code on the new PC cluster. Shiny!

And of course there's the new clubs I bought at the weekend. Shiny!

And I've been granted a bursary for the Physics 2005 conference - reg fee and accommodation. That's very good news, means I don't have to commute so I can stay there and have fun.
